A Smarter Pandemic Response

According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), more than half of the human body’s mass comprises nonhuman living organisms, including bacteria, viruses, germs, parasites, and fungi that thrive on and within us. Surprisingly, despite their prevalence, we coexist without issue. So, what reason is there to instill fear? Why impart apprehension about elements that are inescapable and benign?

The answer lies in the pursuit of profit and power. Certain entities exploit such fears for their gain.

Thankfully, organizations like SIICDARE (Society of International Infectious and Chronic Disease Associates, Researchers, and Educators) champion alternative approaches to combatting pandemics. SIICDARE fosters collaboration with the academic research community, prioritizing the dissemination of scientific knowledge as a public good. Instead of privatizing discoveries for profit, they advocate for open sharing within the scientific community. This strategy facilitates a deeper understanding of how to manage, prevent, and cure diseases that would otherwise afflict us needlessly.

Mountains of Evidence

The Real Virus is FEAR

The Society of International Infectious and Chronic Diseases Associates, Researchers and Educators (SIICDARE) is devoted to 3 things: (1) Promote access to medicines and medical innovations where barriers exist, (2) primarily by changing practices around academic patenting and licensing, supported by independent research, (3) Ensure that university-based medical research meets the needs of people across the globe, and actively supports the creation of new, needs-based approaches to R&D. Ultimately, Selective Science’s goal is to empower the research community by engaging academics, and by advocating for the most promising global, biomedical R&D system, being made accessible to all.

  • On May 15, 2020, President Trump claimed to launch the FIRST Manhattan Project for Medicine with Operation WarpSpeed.   He was mistaken.
    • The International Cancer Alliance for Research and Education (ICARE.org) did in 2009.
    • ICARE has discovered/introduced hundreds of ways to cure different cancers by collaborating with academic researchers worldwide.
    • Instead of patenting and profiting from their discoveries, they shared their findings freely with other researchers who practice science for the public good.

SIICDARE’s founder, my son Terrence (Lil Neo), had a baby sister.  Her name was Sydney (Trinity).  She is dearly missed.

Sydney died hours after celebrating the creation of her podcast ICARE4Animals**.  IC4A was to be an afterschool club to educate and help children and families touched by cancer live better lives.  How?  By connecting them to ICARE’s network of academic researchers who practice science as a public good.
